The Funniest Star Trek Memes of the Week (August 13, 2024)

Star Trek, especially The Original Series, and The Next Generation, had some major hits and misses regarding costumes. While the primary colored uniforms from the Original Series have stood the test of time, the ones that Patrick Stewart and his friends wore during the first season of The Next Generation left little to the imagination. So many of the bad costumes were products of their time, like the extremely 80s costuming in the episode Angel One, where the enterprise visits a planet of invasive fashionable dudes and similarly stylish co-eds. The people of Edo, evocative of the Garden of Eden, wore comically skimpy clothes, but they just didn't work. The outfits the men on that planet wore are more evocative of seatbelts or resistant bands than figs and leaves. I might be torn about whether Picard's short shorts are good or bad, but that won't stop me from enjoying these Star Trek memes.
